Venkatesh Iyer's father's name is Rajasekhar Iyer, his father is a human resource consultant and his mother has worked in hospital management. Venkatesh Iyer belongs to a South Indian family but his family was very different from a typical South Indian family. Venkatesh's family encouraged him a lot to play cricket and they wanted Venkatesh to become a cricketer but initially Venkatesh was not interested in it.

Venkatesh's family did not pressure him to study but definitely encouraged him to play, but when Venkatesh was 19 years old, he used to play cricket only for his own entertainment, he had no interest in cricket, he worked with a chartered accountant. He had also taken admission in B.Com, after that Venkatesh also took out CA's admin exam in the year 2016 but by then Venkatesh had started playing for T20 in Madhya Pradesh's senior team and had taken admission in MBA but Venkatesh was continuously in cricket. Success started coming due to which I started concentrating my full attention in cricket.

Like we have already told you that Venkatesh Iyer used to play cricket only as part time till the age of 19, he had taken admission in MBA although his family encouraged to play cricket but Venkatesh Iyer was initially in this. He did not feel like it but when he started getting success in cricket, he started taking cricket seriously and slowly he made a place in the cricket team of Madhya Pradesh.

Venkatesh Iyer's Domestic Cricket Career

Venkatesh Iyer started his domestic cricket career with the team of Madhya Pradesh, he got the opportunity to play for the Madhya Pradesh Under 16 team in 2014, after which in March 2015 he got the opportunity to play for the railway cricket team.

Where he made his debut in T20 cricket for Madhya Pradesh, after that in December 2015 against Saurashtra in Rajkot, he made his first-class cricket debut, in that match he also got a chance to bat, initially Venkatesh Iyer as wicketkeeper batsman. But he got bowled in one match due to which he started concentrating on his bowling.

After this on 6 December 2018 he started playing first class cricket against Hyderabad and he batted brilliantly in first class cricket, he has played 15 matches in first class cricket where he has scored 545 runs and in list-a he has scored 850 runs.

In 2020, he got a chance to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he performed brilliantly, playing against Punjab, played a stormy innings of 198 runs in 146 balls, later he also took two wickets in the bowling.

Thanks to Venkatesh Iyer's 198-run innings, he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders team for Rs 20 lakh in the option of IPL 2021.

IPL Career of Venkatesh Iyer

Venkatesh Iyer was bought for twenty lakh rupees in the team of Kolkata Knight Riders after his brilliant performance in the Ranji Trophy and in his very first match, Venkateshwara played an unbeaten innings of 41 runs in 27 balls in which Kolkata won.

Venkatesh played the first match of his IPL against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 20 September 2021.

After this, in the very next match, he hit a half-century in 25 balls, after that in the next innings, he played a brilliant innings of 53 runs in 30 balls, followed by a brilliant half-century in the final of the IPL.
